Acceptance of terms
By using HomeschoolLeap, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What HomeschoolLeap provides
HomeschoolLeap is a free tool that provides general guidance about homeschool compliance requirements in all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. We help families understand what their state requires and generate template documents to help meet those requirements.
How we approach accuracy
We take accuracy seriously. Every requirement on this site is sourced directly from state statutes and cross-referenced against multiple independent sources. We publish our verification results and correct errors immediately when we find them.
We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice.
Generated documents
HomeschoolLeap generates documents (such as Notices of Intent and withdrawal letters) based on the information you provide and your state’s requirements. These documents cite the relevant statute and are addressed to the correct recipient.
The documents are only as accurate as the information you enter. Double-check that names, addresses, and dates are correct before you submit. HomeschoolLeap is not responsible for consequences resulting from errors in user-provided information.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when using the wizard
- Review generated documents before submitting (names, addresses, dates)
- Keep your account credentials secure if you create an account
- Comply with all applicable laws in your state
Accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. HomeschoolLeap cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain the security of your account.
Limitation of liability
HomeschoolLeap is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
In no event shall HomeschoolLeap, its creators, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of opportunities, or damages resulting from reliance on the information provided, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
Data handling
Your use of HomeschoolLeap is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of HomeschoolLeap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of HomeschoolLeap shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
